SUDAHR DOBERMANS
SUDAHR is a Russian word (deliberately misspelled because I didn't like the way the correct spelling "looked") which translated means "Sir", as in "master of the household".  This seemed appropriate for this proud and noble breed.

I have been owned by Dobermans since 1986.  Jake, who was my second Doberman, is responsible for my start in the show world.  Determined to have a better mannered-and-trained dog than my first one, I enrolled in an obedience class.  At the end of that first class Jake was recognized as "most improved".  I was encouraged to continue his training which eventually led to AKC competition obedience (at which Jake was very good - in spite of me, not because of me).  This led to attending dog shows, which generated interest in conformation as well as obedience. . .and the rest, as they say. . .

As a member of the DPCA (Doberman Pinscher Club of America) I subscribe to the standard of the breed as set forth by the DPCA as well as the club's code of ethics.  Here at Sudahr we strive to breed the complete Doberman, focusing not only on "beauty" but "brains" and "temperament" as well.  Complete health testing is done on both parent dogs before any litters are produced.

We do not subscribe to nor encourage the breeding of Albino Dobermans.

A LITTLE ABOUT THE DOBERMAN
The Doberman Pinscher is essentially a manmade breed, developed by Louis Dobermann in Germany in the late 1800's.  The breed was first registered with AKC in 1908.   There is speculation about breeds used to develop the Doberman, however, it is generally accepted the old German Shepherd Dog and the German Pinscher were strong contributors.  The Doberman is a dog of high energy, with a reputation for courage, loyalty and intelligence, and not for everyone.  However, should you find yourself "owned" by one of these wonderful dogs, you will likely find your life incomplete from that point forward without one.

If you are a first time owner or thinking about getting a Doberman, take the time to go to the DPCA website
(www.DPCA.org) and learn more about this very special breed.
I know, a funny looking Doberman - this is my sister's Cardigan Welsh Corgi - Sassy - who is a part of our Doberman family.
